Dr O'Hare has a recommended schedule of fees which take into consideration the complexity of care. The fees will approximate or be equal to this AMA schedule. The scheduled fee set by the government is far below what is reasonable, given the level of training required and the responsibility Dr O'Hare has undertaken in providing your health care. Depending on the length of your initial consultation, your initial consultation fee may be $430.00 for a 60 minute assessment; the Medicare rebate ($237.45) can be claimed after your appointment by our online service or by visiting the Medicare office on Draper Street. These fees update each November. Follow up appointments are charged according to time and are usually 15, 30 or 45 minutes, depending on your needs.
Payment for your appointment is required on the day of the consultation. We encourage you to be signed up to the online reimbursement system with Medicare so the Medicare component of your fees will be reimbursed promptly after your appointment usually within days. Unfortunately, not all the fee is covered and there will be an out of pocket charge. If you are a DVA or Workcover patient sometimes fees are settled by those third parties, but this needs to be arranged at the time of referral.
Please come prepared to settle your account in full on the day of your visit.
EFTPOS is our preferred method of payment and visa and mastercard can be used. Cash or cheques are not preferred.
If your appointment is about a Workcover or third party claim or you are covered by DVA please contact the clinic and notify staff well in advance of your first appointment or you will be required to the pay for the consultation and obtain reimbursement after the appointment from your provider.
