Dr O’Hare is a fully qualified psychiatrist. She has a medical degree from the University of Queensland and completed training in 1987. (MBBS) She worked throughout Queensland Hospitals following her medical training but mainly in Brisbane - Royal Brisbane Hospital, North West Private Hospital and then for 2 years in General Practice. She then pursued psychiatry training in Queensland working at Princess Alexandra, Greenslopes, Wolston Park, Townsville, Prince Charles and Royal Brisbane Hospitals as a psychiatry registrar. She did her final senior registrar year at Toowong Private Hospital whilst completing her Dissertation in Ethics Training. She worked in Edinburgh at the Royal Edinburgh and Western General Hospitals in 1998 whilst pursuing post graduate training in her specialty. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and a member of the Australian Medical Association. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency as a Specialist Psychiatrist. She is compliant with Continuing Professional Development and of good standing with her College. She regularly engages in local, national and international continuing professional development.
